I have always had a passion for fitness. Since my early years playing sports at school, to joining the British Army at the naive age of 18yrs old to finally picking up a dumbbell on my first trip to the gym. However, this passion and dedication was tested when I unfortunately sustained a bulging disc injury due to my lack of planning, knowledge and technique in the gym. This changed everything.
Going through the recovery process was a very slow frustrating period. I took this opportunity to put this recovery time to good use by reading a lot and educating myself on the physiology and exercise principals of training. I gained a number of qualifications to aid my learning including the industry standard "Level 3 Personal Training Diploma" and in short I became an obsessed fitness professional. Fast forward many years later, with my my injury thankfully behind me and countless courses complete, I am proud to have helped many fit, healthier, stronger and happy clients on their own journeys.
My own belief is getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. When done correctly it can be an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone and everyone, can and should make. I work with my clients to find the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way - I will work with you to make sure the benefits we gain together outweighs the discomfort. I'm always striving to learn and improve and I enjoy working with a variety of people - of all fitness levels - and can happily adapt my style of training to new clients, whatever your experience, abilities and goals may be.
